I’m so sorry that I won’t be able to make this trip. In the 1970’s my husband was in training to be a China Specialist for the Army. Part of the training was Embassy Language School in Taichung, Taiwan. We lived there almost two years and it was wonderful! I had my second son while we were living there..my other son spoke Chinese before he spoke English. The people are as nice and sociable as can be. The countryside is amazingly beautiful. Plus, the shopping is unreal…take an extra suitcase.
All to say, if you go, enjoy every single minute of it.
